Assam has several attractive destinations; majority of these are National Parks, Wildlife and Bird Sanctuaries, areas with archaeological interests and areas with unique cultural heritage. Moreover, as a whole, the region is covered by beautiful natural landscapes.
Meghalaya (Abode of Clouds in Sanskrit) is one of the seven Northeastern states of India. It is bound by Assam in north and east and by Bangladesh in the south. River Brahmaputra (or Luit as called locally) forms the border in the west.
Situated on a gentle hillock with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys at a distance of 41 km north of Nagaland capital Kohima, the Tuophema tourist village offers exquisite traditional Naga life in the lap of nature.
Manipur has many places to visit. One can start with the Loktak Lake, which is about 45kms to the south of Imphal. The view of the enchanting landscape from Sendra Hill is awsome.
Mizoram [1] lies in the southernmost outpost of North Eastern India, the land of the Blue Mountains. Manipur, Assam and Tripura bind the northern end of this little island of tranquility with neighbouring countries Myanmar and Bangladesh nestling most of the state between them.
Tripura [1] is one of India's Northeastern states. It is one of the regions least explored by foreign tourists, but offers immense natural beauty and an intriguing cultural heritage. Tripura is one of three Indian states ruled by communists, making their presence felt with murals and flags in many places.
